BakuTel to organize events in Baku

Several prestigious events will be held as part of the 19th Azerbaijan International Telecommunication and Information Technology Exhibition (BakuTel).
BakuTel will be held at the Baku Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre on December 2-5.
A number of ICT events have been organized this year in Azerbaijan, a country with a developing ICT sector.
2013 was declared the Year of ICT in the country.
BakuTel-2013 Exhibition and Conference is officially supported by Azerbaijan's Communication and Information Technologies Ministry, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations, Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC), Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs Organizations, and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
The schedule is as follows: Conference on Global Cyber Security Cooperation on December 2-3, Session of Azerbaijan-Iraq intergovernmental committee and ICT forum Azerbaijan-Argentina on December 3-4, ICT forum Azerbaijan-USA on December 2-3, and the 1st Virtual Conference for Azerbaijanis around the world on December 5.
An event in support of national start-ups in Azerbaijan will be held on December 2-5, and an annual forum for major telecommunications operators in the TASIM consortium will be held on December 2.
Baku will also see the first Azerbaijan National Internet Governance Forum NIGFAZ 2013 with the theme of "Internet as an Engine for Regional Growth and Advancement" on December 2-5.
An event dedicated to the establishment of a PPP Specialist Centre for ICT/broadband in Baku will be held on December 2, while the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) event on Regional Connectivity based on the SPECA Project Working Group on Knowledge Based Development will be held on December 3-5.
Traditional sections of BakuTel exhibition, which has been held annually since 1995, include telecommunications and networks, broadband communications and technologies, cable and wireless communication, satellite communications and technologies, broadcasting equipment and technologies, software and automation systems, IT and office technologies, security systems, banking technologies and services, e-government, and e-education.
