High-tech parks to be discussed at ICT exhibition Bakutel

Technological parks and regional innovation zones (RIZ) will be among the most discussed themes during the 19th international telecommunications and ICT exhibition Bakutel-2013, the communications ministry told Trend news agency on Friday.
The event will be held in the Azerbaijani capital on September 25-28.
A major conference addressing issues related to creating innovation zones is expected to be organized within the framework of the exhibition, which is supported by the ministry.
The exhibition will feature national stands of a number of countries. Azerbaijani state-run entities will present ICT projects at their stand.
The project envisaging creation of industrial parks for development of small and medium-sized innovative businesses also covers a regional base for production and export of electronic hardware and software, training and development of human resources for emerging information society, introduction of information technologies in various industries, etc.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree last November to establish High Technology Park in the country.
The Ministries of Communication and Information Technologies,
Economic Development and Education, and the Azerbaijan National
Academy of Sciences are to arrange joint activities in this
connection.
