Every five families face divorce in Iran in 2012

The divorce rate increased in Iran in 2012 compared to 2011, ILNA agency said on Saturday referring to director of Iran's Census Bureau Ali Akbar Mahzun.

He said that every seven families faced divorce in 2011, but every five in 2012.

Mahzun reported that there were 143,790 divorces in 2012.

According to him, most of the facts were registered in the provinces of Qom, Khorasan Razavi, Alborz, and least of all in the provinces of Sistan, Baluchistan, Yazd and Ilam.

People younger 30 years old are mainly divorced. Thus, 20-24 year old women and 25-29 year old men are among them.
