Spacey to appear in Shakespeare play in Istanbul
ISTANBUL – Acclaimed American actor Kevin Spacey will be starring in a Shakespeare play as part of the International Istanbul Theatre Festival, AssA-Irada’s Dursun Ozden reports.
Oscar-winning Spacey will appear in the lead role in October in Richard III with a production of Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes.
Spacey is joined in the play by Maureen Anderman, Haydn Gwynne, Chuk Iwuji, Gemma Jones and Chandler Williams in five nights in a row at Istanbul's Harbiye Muhsin Ertugrul Stage.
Spacey debuted in Richard III at the Old Vic last June in London, winning critical praise for his portrayal of the Shakespeare character.
