Azerbaijan, Tajikistan keen on deepening scientific ties
Abbasali Hasanov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tajikistan has met
Karomatullo Olimov , Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences to
mull scientific cooperation, AzerTag state news agency
reported.
The sides discussed implementation of the agreements on cooperation
between the two countries’ Science Academies signed by Azerbaijani
President Ilham Aliyev in his visit to this country on October
2014.
They noted that there is an urgent need for exchange of the copies
of manuscripts in Persian and Turkish languages, joint work of
scholars from both countries on a number of artifacts and
manuscripts, mutual attendance of Azerbaijani and Tajik scientists
in conferences and scientific symposiums and establishing
cooperation in other areas.
Olimov noted that he is well aware of the Azerbaijani oriental
scholars’ researches since the Soviet times, stressing the
importance of creating cooperation in this area.
He recalled his visit to Azerbaijan as Tajik Minister of Culture
at the Meeting of Ministers of Culture of the Commonwealth of
Independent States and meeting with national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Olimov noted that he is an author of articles on prominent
Azerbaijani poets Nizami Ganjavi and Mahammadhussein
Shahriyar.
