Azerbaijani media support fund arranges visit to Northern Cyprus

Azerbaijan's Fund of State Support for Mass Media Development has organized a visit of Azerbaijani journalists to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus for the study of international experience.
The Azerbaijani delegation includes the Fund's Executive Director Vugar Safarli, National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council Chairman Nushiravan Maharramli, Press Council Chairman Aflatun Amashov and others.
The delegation met with the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Dervish Eroglu.
Eroglu said the increased number of visits between fraternal countries provides opportunities to better get to know each other and to exchange experience.
In turn, Safarli underlined the strengthening of bilateral relations in the tourism sector. "We hope such meetings will strengthen bilateral relations even more," he said.
The delegation also held a meeting with TRNC Prime Minister Irsen Kucuk. During the meeting, Safarli pointed out that the Fund aims at state assistance to the media in Azerbaijan.
Kucuk said that such visits and meetings create an opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations.
The same day the Azerbaijani delegation met with Foreign Minister Huseyin Ozgurgun.
