Bavarian PM calls for clarifying Munich shooting motives

Horst Seehofer, prime minister of Germany’s Bavaria, called for clarifying motives behind the shooting in Munich as soon as possible, RIA Novosti reported July 23.
“We share our grief in these hard times with the bereaved families,” he said in a statement posted on the official website of the Bavarian government. “We are grateful for the solidarity and sympathy expressed all over the world.”
A gunman opened fire in a crowded Munich shopping mall and a nearby McDonald’s killing nine people and wounding 16 others on July 22.
Reportedly, the attacker was an 18-year-old German-Iranian man, who after the shootings killed himself.
