Turkish PM hold phone talks with Palestinian and Hamas leaders
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held separate phone
conversations with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas
leader Khaled Mashal and received information on Palestinian talks
for a consensus, Trend news agency reported referring to Anadolu
agency.
According to Turkish sources, Abbas provided information to Erdogan
on the talks held among Palestinian groups in Cairo recently.
Abbas informed Prime Minister Erdogan that he wished to talk with
him face to face in the shortest time possible.
On the other hand, Khaled Mashal phoned Erdogan on Tuesday night
and provided information on talks for consensus between the Fatah
movement and Hamas.
Erdogan expressed his pleasure over seeing positive talks between
Palestinian groups and reminded that Turkey attached high
importance to a consensus between Palestinians.
