Vietnam to be visa free for Azerbaijani tourists

Azerbaijani citizens will be able to visit another tourist destination without visa from the next year. Vietnam will become more accessible starting from January 1, 2016.
The news was announced by Director General of Travel Industry Management Department of Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Quy Phuong in Hanoi on November 9.
The Prime Minister of Vietnam signed a decree according to which from next year foreigners, who travels to Vietnam, can arrive in this country without obtaining a visa, Phuong said. The decree would apply to all countries, he added.
Visit to Vietnam for Azerbaijanis will require only an invitation to the local travel agency based on the acquired tour package to the country.
Phuong added it is expected that more than 8 million foreign tourists will visit Vietnam in the current tourist season.
Until January 2016, Azerbaijani citizens will continue acquire a visa upon arrival in Vietnam for $45.
Azerbaijani citizens can travel without visas to 61 countries, according to the passportindex website.
In the ranking of the most influential passports compiled by the website based on the number of countries to which citizens can enter without a visa, the Azerbaijani passport took 57th place.
Earlier, Azerbaijan and Indonesia have inked an agreement on the
visa regime simplification, and staring from November 1, Indonesia
is visa-free for Azerbaijanis.
Azerbaijan has also signed the visa facilitation agreement with the
European Union and some countries that are not in the Schengen
area.
