Baku, CoE mull prospects for mutual cooperation

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Council of Europe (CoE) Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland have discussed prospects of developing mutual cooperation.
The meeting was held within Minister Mammadyarov's participation in the PACE autumn session, held with regard to Azerbaijan's chairmanship at the CoE Committee of Ministers, the Foreign Ministry reported.
The sides also discussed the talks on settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which erupted back in 1988 over Armenia's territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
They further mulled Azerbaijan's chairmanship at the CoE Committee of Ministers, the realization of the 'Action Plan for Azerbaijan 2014-2016'.
The parties also had an exchange of views on the processes taking place in the region and the world.
