CoE Secretary General to visit Azerbaijan

Council of Europe (CoE) Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland will visit Azerbaijan on May 8, the CoE's press service reported on May 2.
The visit is aimed to discuss the prospects for cooperation between the CoE and Azerbaijan, as well as the issues regarding Azerbaijan's chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
During the visit, Jagland is expected to hold meetings with the Azerbaijani officials.
Earlier, Jagland's visit scheduled for mid April was postponed due to the emergency debates in Strasbourg with regard to the developments in Ukraine, as well as in the meetings of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers.
