New bridge launched on Azerbaijani-Iranian border

A new bridge was put into service in Julfa border-crossing point on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsun Pakayin told Trend Agency.
Pakayin said the cars carrying more than 30 tons of cargo will be allowed to pass the new bridge.
He noted that Iran and Azerbaijan reached an agreement on launch of a new bridge in Julfa border crossing point after the three-day debate.
Pakayin said the new bridge was put into operation in the morning hours on February 14. Currently, vehicles use the same bridge, the old bridge is open to pedestrians crossing.
He also said the launch of this bridge is a sign of strengthening of the mutual relations between the two countries.
He voiced hope that trade relations between Iran and Azerbaijan will further expand.
There are seven border crossings on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border.
