Cargo, passenger transportation ups
Some 95.3 million tons of cargo and 1.2 billion passengers were transported via vehicles in January-September, 2014 in Azerbaijan, the State Statistical Committee reported.
Cargo turnover has increased by 2.7% and passenger transport by 5.1% in comparison with outcomes of 2013.
Some 96.3% of the passengers were transported via buses, while 3.7% via taxis. The number of the passengers who used metro was 156.5 mln and it increased by 4.1% in comparison with last year.
