Romanian team arrives in Baku for European Games

Romanian team participating in the inaugural European Games scheduled for June 12-28 arrived in Baku.
The Romanian team consists of 147 athletes, including 83 sportsmen and 64 sportswomen. Chief of the Romanian mission at the Games is Alexandru Epuran.
The team has been received at the airport by Romania Ambassador to Baku, Daniel Cristian Ciobanu and members of the embassy.
The ambassador wished athletes good luck and many gold medals. He expressed hope that ambition and determination of the members of Romanian team will help them achieve good results.
Romanian athletes said that they will do their best in the competition.
Baku 2015 is the first ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent which will take place on June 12-28, 2015.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
