Azerbaijan sees 10% surge in insurance market

Premiums collected by Azerbaijan’s insurance companies totaled 462.65 million manats in January-October 2017, which is 10.16 percent more than in the same period of 2016, the country’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) said in a report on November 17.
Payments of claims by the Azerbaijani insurance companies totaled 204.6 million manats in January-October 2017, which is 7.12 percent more than in the same period of 2016.
Twenty-two insurance companies operate in Azerbaijan.
