Azerbaijani boxer qualifies for Rio Olympic Games
Azerbaijani boxer Albert Salimov has booked a spot at the Summer
Olympics that will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in
2016.
Salimov was part of Baku Fires that destroyed USA Knockouts 5-0 in
the 12 round of World Series of Boxing in Guba.
He defeated Carlos Balderas in the 60kg weight category.
On April 18, Baku Fires are travelling to Puerto Rico for a match
against Puerto Rico Hurricanes that will see Azerbaijan`s
Heybatulla Hajialiyev secure an Olympic berth if he wins.
