Turkish, Azerbaijani presidents hold talks
Turkish President Abdullah Gul made a telephone call to President Ilham Aliyev on August 26, AzerTag state news agency reported
Abdullah Gul, whose term in office is to end on August 28, expressed satisfaction with the successful development of friendly and fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan on all fronts during his presidential tenure.
The president emphasized the special role of personal friendship with President Aliyev in the development of these ties.
President Aliyev, in turn, thanked Abdullah Gul for warm words, stressed his contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, which were based on strategic partnership, and expressed confidence that bilateral ties between the two countries would continue to rapidly develop.
