Azerbaijan Railways earns over $ 30 million profit
The revenues of Azerbaijan Railways LTD totaled 222.7 million manat in 2012, Company Head Arif Askerov said.
"Of the company's total revenues in the first half year, 207.7 million manat accounted for cargo transportation, and the remaining 15 million manat for passenger transportation," Askerov said.
In general, the expenditure of company amounted to 198 million manat last year, while the profit stood at 24.7 million manat.
Of the total expenditure the salaries of employees made up 68.7 million manat, 14.2 million manat were transferred to the fund of social defence, 7.5 million manat were sent to the state taxes. Moreover, in the first half of 2012, 36.2 million manat was paid for the used electricity, fuel and water. The remaining 43.1 million manat accounted for other expenses.
