Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences’ president died
President of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), academician Mahmud Karimov passed away on Sunday.
This information was confirmed by the vice-president of ANAS, Arif Hashimov.
It is reported that Kerimov died in one of Turkey's hospitals of heart failure.
Karimov was born on October 18, 1948 in Yerevan. In 1971, he graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Azerbaijan State University. Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor, from 2001, President of ANAS.
