A meeting of the GUAM Ministerial Council will be held as part of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Dublin, GUAM Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili said, Trend news agency reported.

He said the political negotiations, interaction and sectoral cooperation of the countries will be discussed within the meeting of the GUAM ministerial.

GUAM member countries' ministers will review all the working groups within the GUAM and outline the future cooperation.

GUAM was established by the post-Soviet countries in 1997 during the EU presidential summit in Strasbourg. In 1999, Uzbekistan joined the organisation, and left four years later. A decision was made to rename GUAM as an international organisation 'Organisation for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM', at the organisation's first summit in Kiev in 2006.
