Azerbaijan ranks 15th among 78 countries at 49th International Chemistry Olympiad
Azerbaijan has ranked 15th among 78 countries at the 49th International Chemistry Olympiad held in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
Azerbaijani schoolchildren claimed a total of three medals, including gold, silver and bronze to outclass their counterparts from the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Canada, Finland, Estonia, Israel and other countries in the overall medal table, Azertac reported.
10th grade student at Zarifa Aliyeva Lyceum in Baku Ramil Babazade won a gold medal. Silver was grabbed by 10th grade student at Baku Classical Gymnasium No 160 Nariman Mirishov. 10th grade student at Lankaran City Humanitarian School No 4 Turan Mammadli won bronze.
