Designer Gulnara Khalilova presents catalog of national costumes

Designer Gulnara Khalilova has presented a catalog of Azerbaijani national costumes.
The main aim of the project is to propagandize Azerbaijani national costume in Europe. The designer also noted that the catalog, published in Azerbaijani and English, will be available in Europe, Azertac reported.
The project involved Honored artist of Azerbaijan Tunzala Agayeva, stylist and make up artist Sabina Imanova, a photographer from Norway of Azerbaijani descent Fariz Nadir Rzayev and Maryam - daughter of legendary captain of KVN team "Guys from Baku" Anar Mamedkhanov.
The presentation was attended by prominent public figures, including Jordan's Ambassador Mohammad Nassar Ibrahim, Deputy Chairman of State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Gahramanova Sadagat, MPs Ganira Pashayeva, Hikmet Babaoglu, fashion designer Fakhriya Khalafova, people's artist Sakina Ismayilova, honored art workers Samir Aliyev, President of the Alpagut Federation in Azerbaijan Agil Adjalov and many others.
Shooting of the project took place at one of the world's largest carpet factories Azerilme and Icherisheher.
Works of Khalilova's national collection can be found in Egypt, the library of Alexandria, the Cultural Center of Istanbul, and the cultural centers of various cities in the U.S.
The designer created costumes for the classic Azerbaijani operetta "Arshin mal alan" by famous composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov staged at the 100th anniversary of the State Theatre of Musical Comedy.
Her works are also very popular among Turkish public figures, representatives of culture and art such as Ajda Pekkan, Emrah Erdogan, Beyazit Ozturk, Soner Sarikabadayi, and others.
