With the support of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, the Mobile Youth Service project is being implemented in Khizi District, AzerNEWS reports.
The project is organized by the Youth Development and Career Center and the Young Volunteers Public Union.
The project is being implemented under the slogan "With Youth, for Youth."
The main objective of the project is to increase young people’s participation in various areas of public life in line with the priorities of Azerbaijan's state youth policy, help unlock their creative potential, and make existing state support mechanisms for young people more accessible to those living in the regions.
The opening ceremony of the project in Khizi began with the national anthem and a one-minute silence in memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. During the official part of the event, Jeykhun Isgandarov, head of a department at the Khizi District Executive Authority, and Jala Hasanova, head of a department at the Youth Development and Career Center, spoke about the importance of the project for young people in the regions and highlighted its role in helping them realize their intellectual and social potential.
During the event, representatives of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs and the Regional Department No. 4 of Ecology and Natural Resources held awareness-raising sessions for participants, while the Khizi Vocational School organized an exhibition.
Various training sessions covering different areas were also held to support the personal and professional development of young people. Conducted with the participation of professional experts, the sessions provided participants with useful information on choosing a field of study and profession, setting career goals, the requirements of the modern labor market, new opportunities created by artificial intelligence technologies, and ways to use these opportunities effectively. Young people actively participated in interactive sessions, exchanged views with experts, and received answers to their questions. At the end of the day, young participants who demonstrated outstanding engagement in the activities were awarded.
During the five-day program, young people from Khizi district will actively participate in workshops, master classes, quizzes, and intellectual competitions organized across the "Patriotism," "Education and Career," "Digital Thinking," "Physical Activity and Health," "Creative Youth," and "Entertainment" zones. Through these activities, they will have the opportunity to gain new knowledge and develop practical skills.
The events in Khizi, which began on August 10 as part of the project, will conclude on August 14.
Note that the Mobile Youth Service, which is currently successfully continuing its activities at its eighth destination this year, will cover a total of 20 cities and districts across Azerbaijan by November.
