JW Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel is welcoming a new General Manager with more than 17 years of experience from world famous luxury hotels such as Ritz-Carlton and Raffles to Baku.

Martin Kleinmann started his career in 1995 as an apprentice at the Hotel InterContinental in Stuttgart, Germany. After getting a degree in Hotel Management at the Hotel Business School Bad Ueberkingen in 1997, he stayed on at the hotel as the Front Desk Agent and was transferred with the InterContinental hotel group to New York as Assistant Manager one year later.

He moved back to Germany in 2002 and held various positions at the Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Hamburg (now Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten), such as the Front Office Manager, Room Division Manager and Executive Assistant Manager. After two years, Martin transferred to the opulent Imperial New Delhi hotel in India, where he accepted the position of Executive Assistant Manager.

In 2007, Martin held the position of Hotel Manager/Acting General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa before being promoted to his first General Manager role at the Ritz-Carlton Cairo (currently The Nile Hotel, Cairo).

Two years later, he held the position of General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, and Turkey, which he successfully steered through the crisis, and the Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen, China.

Martin is coming to rule one of the outstanding hotels of the Azerbaijani capital in 2014.

JW Marriott Absheron Baku, located where the old Absheron Hotel used to be and within a stone's throw from the promenade Boulevard and old town, has maintained its popularity and charm by offering travelers and local citizens exceptional style and upscale services.
