Georgia, Austria ink deal
The Georgian Education and Science Ministry and the Federal
Ministry for Education and Women's Affairs of Austria signed a
memorandum of understanding, the Georgian Education Ministry
reported.
The deal was undersigned by Georgian Deputy Minister of Education
Lia Gigauri and the head of the department of international
relations and culture of the Federal Ministry for Education and
Women's Affairs of the Republic of Austria Hanspeter Huber.
According to the memorandum, the two sides will promote sharing of
experience in the field of education and transferring of know-how
at the export and political levels.
Particular attention will be paid to such topics as the structure
and organizing of the education system, the curriculum, educational
materials and quality improvement.
The direct relations and cooperation will be established between
the university colleges of Austria and teacher retraining
institutions of Georgia as part of the memorandum.
The Austrian side will offer the Georgian teachers trainings and
workshops of the German language at all levels.
The sides will actively share their experience in the field of
vocational education, including the sectors of agriculture,
forestry, wine-making and tourism.
