Azerbaijan presidential hopefuls to submit registrations to CEC

The required candidacy registration documents for the presidential election in Azerbaijan will be accepted by the Central Election Committee from Feb. 20, according to the Schedule on main activities for the presidential election preparation and holding.
Next presidential election in Azerbaijan is to be held on April 11, 2018, according to an order signed Feb. 5 by the country's President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the Schedule, the documents required for the registration can be submitted from Feb. 20, 2018 to March 12, 2018 until 18:00.
Earlier, the nomination of 12 candidates has already been approved by the CEC, while the issue of approval of one candidate will be considered at the next CEC session.
