Bulgarian president to visit Baku
Bulgaria and Azerbaijan will discuss bilateral cooperation in energy sphere as President Rosen Plevneliev will pay a visit to Azerbaijan.
Plevneliev will participate in the celebrations to mark the 20th
anniversary of the Contract of the Century, diplomatic sources told
Trend Agency on September 2.
The president earlier told media that his country intends to
purchase Azerbaijani gas.
He emphasized the significance of the Trans-Anatolian (TANAP) and
Trans-Adriatic (TAP) gas pipeline projects for Bulgaria and added
that these projects are strategically important for all European
countries.
Gas from Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz field will be delivered to Europe
though the abovementioned pipelines.
