Bavaria-Azerbaijan Business Forum due in Baku

Baku will host the Bavaria-Azerbaijan business forum on May 31.
The event, to be organized by German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce, will be held within the framework of working visit of the business delegation from Bavaria led by Secretary of State in the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, Franz Josef Pschierer.
The forum is organized in cooperation with the Bavarian Association for International Economic Relations (mbH).
Following the official opening ceremony and company presentations, B2B meetings will be held between German and Azerbaijani companies in the field of mechanical and plant engineering, construction, information and communication technologies, environmental technology, medical services, consumer goods and tourism.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany were established in February 1992.
Germany is among Azerbaijan’s top five most important trading partners. The major portion of trade turnover figures fall to the share of industrial production. German exports to Azerbaijan consist mainly of motor vehicles, iron and steel goods, machinery and production facilities.
