Milla to officially support Baku 2015 European Games

Premium dairy supplier Milla has become an official supporter of the inaugural European Games.

Based on an agreement between the company and Baku 2015, Milla will support the Baku 2015 European Games through advertising in more than 5,000 stores around Azerbaijan and by printing Baku 2015's logo on all of its products and staff uniforms.

Its products will also be available at Baku 2015 competition venues via ice-cream vans and will further support the European Games with an extensive television advertising campaign.

Chief Operating Officer of Baku 2015, Simon Clegg said: "Milla is a well-known and much-loved brand here in Azerbaijan and we are very pleased to welcome it as an official supporter."

"Milla's popular products will help us share our enthusiasm and excitement about the first ever European Games with millions of sports fans across the entire country," he siad.

The partnership will see Milla advertising the European Games across Azerbaijan through related promotions, as well as featuring Baku 2015 branding on their delivery vans nationwide.

Managing Director of Milla, Philip Wright said: "We are delighted to be joining the Baku 2015 European Games family by becoming an official supporter.

The Milla brand offers Azerbaijan a range of premium, healthy and innovative dairy products, which match the European Games' high standards.

"The Games will be an amazing moment in the history of Azerbaijan, and we are proud to be able to say that we are part of the journey to a sporting event that will be enjoyed by the whole of Europe," he said.

Commercial Director of Baku 2015, Charlie Wijeratna added: "Milla's strong reputation and brand visibility here in Azerbaijan mean that it is the perfect partner for Baku 2015 and it is fantastic to be able to rely on its support."

Milla becomes the third official supporter of the Baku 2015 European Games, after McDonald's and Tickethour.

Baku 2015 will be the first European Games, an exciting and innovative new multi-sport event for the continent, which will take place in June 12-28, 2015.

There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and three non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes are expected to represent their nations during the 17 days of competition.
