President Aliyev receives Astrakhan’s delegation
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Governor of Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Zhilkin on October 22, AzerTag state news agency reported.
During the meeting, the sides noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation have been developing successfully on all fronts, and expressed their satisfaction with the expansion of Azerbaijan`s cooperation with the federal subjects of Russia, including Astrakhan Region.
They noted that the 4th summit of the heads of state of Caspian littoral states recently held in Astrakhan contributed to the development of ties among these countries.
Zhilkin hailed projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Astrakhan, saying these projects were welcomed by people of the region with great sympathy.
The parties also exchanged views on prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation.
