Azerbaijan, NATO to discuss alliance`s new concept
BAKU – The prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO will be discussed during the winter session of NATO International School in Azerbaijan (NISA) from Jan. 30-Feb. 6, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
The session is devoted to the new concept of the alliance. The NATO experts and researchers will discuss "NATO’s new strategic concept: challenges and prospects".
The session will cover NATO`s goals and nuclear issues, energy security, situation in Afghanistan and other issues.
The official opening of the session will be held on Jan. 31. Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov, Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolae Ureke and head of the NATO Military Staff, Maj. Gen. Carlos Branco will address the session.
