Russian energy minister heads to Tehran
Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak will head a large economic delegation during his trip to Iran, IRNA quoted Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei as saying on October 16.
He said the two countries’ trade relations will be discussed in Tehran.
Sanaei noted that Novak will hold meetings in Tehran with Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh and other Iranian officials.
The diplomat said the Russian minister is to discuss the ways to increase bilateral trade turnover between Russia and Iran from the current $2 billion to $10 billion.
Aside from that, the parties will discuss the expansion of economic relations, paying a special attention to the area of energy resources of Iran.
