Kazakh, Slovenian FMs discuss relations
Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan Idrisov and Slovenian Foreign
Minister Karl Erjavec discussed bilateral relations in Astana on
June 13, Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.
"During the meeting the parties discussed the current state and
prospects of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Slovenia
in the political and economic spheres, the international agenda and
cooperation within international organizations," the ministry
said.
The sides agreed that it is necessary to strengthen bilateral
cooperation in the field of chemical industry, construction, high
technology, pharmaceutics and discussed the prospects of
partnership in the field of tourism.
According to Idrisov, bilateral economic and cultural ties are
developing dynamically and the two countries are cooperating
actively within the framework of the UN, OSCE and other
international organizations.
Erjavec arrived in Kazakhstan as the co-chair of the
Kazakhstan-Slovenian intergovernmental commission on trade and
economic cooperation. The second meeting of the commission will
take place on June 13. A protocol will be signed following the
meeting. Joint Kazakh -Slovenian business conferences will be
organized in Astana and Almaty within the intergovernmental
commission session.
