Quake hits Iran's East Azerbaijan province
An earthquake hit the town of Varzegan in the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan again on Monday, ISNA news agency reported on Monday.
The earthquake measured 4.0 on the Richter scale. There is no information about damage or victims.
An earthquake measuring 6.2 occurred in the province of East Azerbaijan on Aug. 11, 2012. As a result, 300 people were killed and 2500 were injured. Around 110 of 538 villages of the province were completely or partially destroyed. Some 5000 buildings were damaged.
