Iranian president leaves for Caracas
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left Tehran for Caracas Thursday afternoon to take part in the funeral procession of the late Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, IRNA news agency reported.
Presidential Advisor Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Vice President for Constitutional Affairs Mohammad-Reza Mir-Tajeddini and caretaker of Cooperative, Labor and Welfare Ministry Assadollah Abbasi, are accompanying Ahmadinejad during his visit to Venezuela.
The funeral procession of Hugo Chavez will be held Friday with the participation of high-ranking officials of various states.
