Georgian ambassador to U.S. to be dismissed for political views
Georgia's Ambassador to the U.S. Temur Yakobashvili will be dismissed for political views, Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze said on Thursday.
"I have already told Yakobashvili that joint work is not desirable. Yakobashvili fully shares the positions of United National Movement - the party of President Mikheil Saakashvili, who lost the elections to Parliament on October 1," Panjikidze said.
Yakobashvili has served as an Ambassador of Georgia to the United States for two years.
