Lukoil produces 15 bcm of gas in Uzbekistan
Russian energy giant Lukoil's gas production in Uzbekistan has been 15 billion cubic meters, the company said Wednesday.
According to the company, most of the volume, around 95 percent,
has been produced at the Khauzak-Shady field in Bukhara region
(part of the Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad project implemented
jointly with the National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz).
The PSA on the project was signed in June 2004 for a period of 35
years.
Gas production at the field began in November 2007. A year later Khauzak-Shady reached a full production level -- 3 billion cubic meters of gas a year.
The gas production on the South-West Gissar project amounted to 0.8 billion cubic meters.
The PSA for the South-West Gissar, located in Kashkadarya
region, south of Uzbekistan, was signed on January 23, 2007 for a
term of 36 years and entered into force on April 23, 2007.
Uzbekistan's share will range from 55 to 80 percent depending on
the profitability of the project.
Lukoil joined the South-West Gissar project in 2008.
Natural gas production within the project began in December 2011 in the largest block of fields -- Jarkuduk-Yangi Kyzylcha.
Lukoil is working in Uzbekistan to implement three projects as part of the international consortium.
