President Aliyev opens observation wheel in Baku Boulevard

A new observation wheel built in the new boulevard section of the National Seaside Park in Baku was opened on March 10.
The ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva.
President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva were informed about the technical parameters and operational characteristics capabilities of the new facility, which is 60 meters in diameter.
The president and his wife also went on a ride on the observation wheel.
The wheel has 30 cars and each of them can accommodate eight people. The new attraction will be fully commissioned in the coming days.
The successful implementation of the project to extend the National Seaside Park to the State Flag Square has completely changed the city's appearance.
To provide leisure for the residents and visitors of Baku, the most sophisticated infrastructure has been created and new service and catering facilities were commissioned there in a short period.
Baku Boulevard attracts the attention of tourists with its special beauty, and new projects aimed at providing leisure for children and teenagers have also been launched on the territory.
Under an agreement signed with "Dutch Wheels" of the Netherlands, the construction and installation of the modern observation wheel was launched in September 2013, and was completed with high quality.
