Preparations underway for 2nd Global Shared Societies Forum in Baku
Discussions have been held in Madrid on preparations for the 2nd Global Shared Societies Forum, scheduled to be convened in Baku in April, 2014,AzerTag state news agency reported.
Under the leadership of co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre, president of the Club de Madrid, former president of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga, secretariat responsible for the Forum exchanged views on preparation and organizational issues.
The forum will be co-organized by Azerbaijani State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre and the Club de Madrid, as well as the Club of Rome, the UN, and the Alexandria Library.
The Shared Societies Project -through the convening power of its Members, all of them former Heads of State and Government-works globally with various governments, institutions and their leaders, advising them on the best approaches to building a shared society.
