Agriculture tops Azerbaijani-Turkish bilateral cooperation agenda [UPDATE]

President Ilham Aliyev and Turkey’s Agriculture and Forestry Minister Vahit Kirisci have said that agriculture is high on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between the two nations, adding that friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries develop successfully in all spheres.

President Aliyev recalled that everything related to agriculture had been destroyed in the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia, adding that large-scale agricultural work is planned on the liberated lands and other areas.

In this regard, the parties noted with satisfaction that close cooperation and joint activities in the field of agriculture were currently underway in the liberated territories.

Moreover, the sides touched upon the importance of the Caspian Agro 2022 International Agricultural Exhibition in Baku and the participation of a delegation led by the Turkish minister in this exhibition. They added that Turkish companies are extensively represented at the fair.

The sides also expressed confidence that the visit of Vahit Kirisci to Azerbaijan would contribute to the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

During the conversation, the sides recalled with satisfaction President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Turkey a few days ago, pointing to the role of this visit in the development of bilateral relations.

Additionally, Vahit Kirisci conveyed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s greetings to Ilham Aliyev. The president thanked Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his greetings and asked the minister to convey his good wishes to the Turkish president.
