Azerbaijan registers 21 new COVID-19 cases, 32 recoveries

Azerbaijan registered 21 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, Azernews reports, citing the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers on February 7.

Some 32 patients have recovered and no patients have died in the reporting period.

So far, 828,106 people have been infected with coronavirus in the country, 817,848 of them have recovered, and 10,096 people have died. Some 162 people are currently under treatment in special hospitals.

Around 2,185 COVID-19 tests have been carried out over the past day. In total, 7,498,844 tests have been conducted in the country.

At the same tome, 298 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Azerbaijan.

Some 102 people were injected with first dose, 106 citizens received second dose, while 68 citizens got the third dose and the next doses.

As many as 22 citizens were vaccinated with a booster dose after a positive test result for COVID-19.

Up until now, 13,944,166 vaccine doses were administered. Some 5,402,808 citizens received the first dose of the vaccine, 4,877,433 people – the second dose, 3,398,575 people- the third dose, and the next doses.

Around 265,350 citizens were vaccinated with a booster dose after a positive test result for COVID-19.
