Future Shorts pop-up short films festival back in Baku with fall season

YARAT Contemporary Art Organization and Future Shorts Film Festival will present its Fall Season 2013 in Baku.

YARAT is an organization promoting contemporary art and Future Shorts Film Festival is the largest international pop-up short film festival in the world.

The screenings will take place from November 25 to December 1 at 28 Cinema , tickets are available at the box offices of the 28 Cinema.

In 10 years of showcasing amazing short films and filmmakers from around the world in stunning venues, Future Shorts has built the world's largest community for short film fans from Finland to Mexico, including Mongolia and Kazakhstan.

The world's largest pop-up short film festival covering 90 countries, 300 cities, and 6 continents with 1,400 screenings, allows anyone anywhere in the world to run a film festival and be part of its global community.

The Future Shorts Fall Season 2013 includes seven critically acclaimed short films from around the world including documentaries, fiction, drama, animation, and comedy.

The short film amateurs will have an opportunity to watch films such as Amar (by Andrew Hinton/ India 2011), Color Film (by Meghan o'Hara, USA 2008), Silent River (by Anca Miruna Lazarescu, Germany/Romania, 2011), Whateverest (by Kristoffer Borgli, Norway/ Denmark, 2012), A Distracao de Ivan (by Cavi Borges, Gustavo Melo, Brazil 2009), Bonefeather (by Nathan Gillis, Callum Paterson, Canada 2009), and Voyage d'Affaires (by Sean Ellis, France 2008).

Earlier in September, YARAT and Future Shorts Film Festival presented its Summer Season 2013 in Baku.

Future Shorts is the product of 10 years of audience development, experimentation, and reacting to the demands for other ways of movie experience. Since 2003, Future Shorts has built a new audience across the globe and developed a platform for filmmakers, allowing millions of people worldwide to engage in their work.

YARAT aims to provide educational initiatives including lectures, seminars and master classes on a variety of topics related to contemporary art. Besides exhibitions and master classes, YARAT repeatedly brings the Future Shorts film festival seasons to Baku.
