UK, others call Israel's WCK probe closure 'shameful'
The UK, Australia and Canada condemned on Friday Israel's decision to close its investigation into the deaths of seven World Central Kitchen (WCK) aid workers in Gaza, calling the move "shameful" and demanding accountability.
The three governments said the Israeli military had failed to adequately explain why it would not pursue criminal proceedings over the April 2024 drone strikes on the humanitarian convoy. They accused Israel of delaying justice for the victims and their families and stressed that the case reflected a broader lack of accountability for attacks involving aid workers in Gaza.
