Azerbaijani mathematicians claim medals at International Copernicus Olympiad

Young Azerbaijani mathematicians have claimed 7 gold, 23 silver and 13 bronze medals at the International Copernicus Olympiad, held at Columbia University in New York (USA).
A team of 60 talented students of different age groups took part in the global stage of the competition, organized by the Global Olympic Center, Azernews reports.
At the Olympiad`s opening ceremony, the team took the stage to the sound of the Azerbaijani national anthem.
In the international tournament, Azerbaijani mathematicians competed with representatives of 22 countries in five categories.
At the awarding ceremony, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United States Khazar Ibrahim congratulated all the participants and the Azerbaijani team in particular, wishing the young mathematicians success.
