Azerbaijan Culture Center will appear in Ukraine's second largest city, Kharkov.

The Center will have ART Gallery and Sculpture Park, said Seyfaddin Gurbanov, the head of the sculpture department at the Kharkov State Academy of Design and Art.

He added that all paperwork regarding the cultural center, which will be opened in Kharkov with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kiev, has already been completed, Azertac reported.

"The park named after Muslim Magomayev will be built in the center of Kiev and its statue will be erected there. This will be possible thanks to a close cooperation between Embassies of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. Our joint projects with Ambassador Azhar Khudiyev have had a great impact on the fact that I was honored by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko with the Order of the 3rd degree "For Service to Motherland",” Gurbanov said.

New park in the heart of Kiev, Ukraine will be named after the world-famous opera and pop singer of Azerbaijan, composer Muslum Magomayev.

The Kiev City Administration has already issued permission for the construction of the statue at the park on the Sich Riflemen Street. The statue will be erected upon the initiative of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine.

The sculptor is Ukrainian People's Artist Seyfaddin Gurbanov. The height of the statue will be 6 meters. The park's opening is scheduled for late October.
