Barama Center supports young engineers
Azercell Telecom’s Barama Innovation Center has realized its next project by signing a memorandum on cooperation with the Community for the Development of Young Engineers (GencMIIB).
The management team of Azercell Telecom and NGO members took
part in the signing ceremony. Young Engineers Community is the
public union which supports professional and public activities of
engineers and engineering organizations, publicizes social
responsibility and environmental safety, and acts as a regulatory
point between the engineering organizations.
The center founded in 2009 by Azercell with the purpose of
supporting entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan generally supports the
projects on information technologies and companies established in
this field to become independent businesses. Barama Center has made
a number of achievements during five years of its activity. More
than 30 projects were launched at the center and 20 of them
completed successfully. Currently, 4 businesses are in their
development stages. One of start-ups taking first steps at the
center is currently continuing its operation in the U.S. State of
Virginia. 3 projects participating in the program “Science and
Technology Entrepreneurship” organized by Azercell and CRDF
received grants for future development and 6 projects won a
business trip to California, in Silicon Valley, where they met with
the world leading companies and experienced investors and
businessmen.
The new cooperation between Barama Innovation Center and Young Engineers Community will facilitate the implementation of successful projects by combining various fields in engineering and information technologies for innovative ideas and technical solutions.
