Olympic champions in Russian shooting team at Baku-2015

Four Olympic champions will compete in Russian shooting team at the Baku 2015 first European Games.

The Russian squad will include 28 shooters, including 4 Olympic champions and 16 men and 12 women athletes.

The team will be led by Olympic champions Alexei Alipov and Olga Kuznetsova.

Vladimir Goncharov, Sergey Chervyakovski, Leonid Ekimov, Alexei Klimov, Anton Guryanov, Vladimir Isakov, Sergey Kruglov, Nazar Luginets, Fyodor Vlasov and Sergey Kamenski will compete in the men`s pistol shooting event, while Ekaterina Korshunova, Olga Kuznetsova, Yulia Alipova, Anna Mastyanina, Darya Vdovina, Anna Jukova, Yulia Karimova and Polina Khorosheva will vie for medals in the women`s event.

In skeet shooting event the men`s squad consists of Alexei Alipov, Denis Zotov, Vasili Mosin, Vitali Fokeev, Alexander Zemlin and Valeri Shomin, while in the women`s event will be include Tatyana Barsuk, Elena Tkach, Albina Shakirova and Anastasia Krakhmalyova.

The shooting races for the first European Games will be held in the Baku Shooting Center from June 16-22.

Baku 2015 is the first ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent which will take place on June 12-28, 2015.

There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.

Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
