President Aliyev arrives in Astrakhan

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has arrived in Astrakhan, Russia, on a working visit to attend the 4th summit of heads of state of the Caspian littoral states.
The summit is expected to mull the key issues of cooperation of the Caspian littoral countries and implementation of the decisions taken at the Baku summit in 2010. Also, the priority areas of cooperation between the countries of the region in the future will be outlined.
President Aliyev was welcomed by high-ranking state and government officials at the International Airport of Astrakhan.
Following, the president visited a statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Heydar Aliyev Park in Astrakhan.
The head of state laid flowers at the statue.
The president also attended the opening of the "Friendship"
kindergarten under secondary school No. 11 after Heydar Aliyev in
Astrakhan, the construction of which was initiated by the Heydar
Aliyev Foundation.
The foundation stone for the facility was laid in 2013 with the
participation of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation
Leyla Aliyeva.
President Aliyev was informed that the 140-seat kindergarten is
designed to serve both Azerbaijani children and kids from local
families.
In general, the facility will have six groups for children from 2
to 6 years of age. The kindergarten is fitted with all the
necessary equipment and teaching aids. Sports and music halls as
well as other rooms here meet modern standards.
