Azerbaijan, European People’s Party to boost bilateral relations

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Secretary-General of the European People's Party, and Executive Secretary of the Centrist Democrat International Antonio Lopez-Isturiz White on July 7, AzerTag state news agency reported.
During the meeting, the two sides noted that the New Azerbaijan Party had been successfully cooperating with the European People's Party and the Centrist Democrat International.
They also discussed prospects of further relations.
As part of his visit to Azerbaijan, Lopez-Isturiz White also was received by Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov.
Asadov noted that New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) attached special importance to deepening bilateral ties with the European People's Party and the Centrist Democrat International.
He noted that the continuation of cooperation with these parties was one of the main priorities of the NAP.
Asadov said the NAP had been closely cooperating with a number of worldwide political organizations.
"We will continue our relationship with the European People's Party and the Centrist Democrat International in the future," he said.
Lopez-Isturiz White expressed satisfaction with being in Azerbaijan and the meetings he held in the country.
He said the European People's Party and the Centrist Democrat International were monitoring the ongoing processes in the South Caucasus, and attached great importance to the development of relations with Azerbaijan's leading party NAP.
Azerbaijani MP Asaf Hajiyev and other official attended the meeting.
