AzVIF, ASAPS ink memo on cooperation PHOTO
The Azerbaijani State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports and Azerbaijan Cycling Federation (AzVIF) signed a memorandum that will improve students' activity and education, the Federation reported.
This has been the main target of the Academy and over the past few years many successful steps have already been taken so far. The current situation of sports, improvement of education and development of young specialists have created a strong necessity to form a large-scaled project and therefore ASAPS and AzVIF came together to a roundtable to sign a memorandum of a tight co-operation.
Under the memorandum, the Academy of Sports will help the Federation to propagate the cycling sport among the students as well as getting them involved in the technical and riding courses organized at the Federation.
Students will also benefit from the Federation's paid courses that will qualify them as professional coaches and bicycle technicians. With these qualifications they will also be able to participate in international cycling competitions and be part of the event organization staff.
The memorandum was signed between Chancellor of the Academy, Fuad Hajiyev and Vice President of the Cycling Federation of Azerbaijan, Sahib Alakbarov.
